Article Fresh Fish Means Great Dining At Caldwell Seafood Market & Café By Steve Sears Tom Austin starts his day early. Very early. "I'm at the Fulton Fish Market
at 2AM," he says. "We (Caldwell Seafood Market & Café) have a good relationship
with them. We've been dealing with them for over 50 years. We get preference in
choice when we go there. I get the highest quality, or I don't take it." The Caldwell Seafood Café is highly recommended. One half of the dining area is dominated by a mural of underwater marine life, while the other walls have pictures depicting the same. The half wall below the murals is stone, and large blue and white tiling covers the floor. Enjoy the atmosphere, and some of the fine meals that Chefs Brian Kochanowski and Jorge Calva prepare, like Almond Crusted Halibut, Sesame Tuna, fine pasta and grilled dishes, and more. And speaking of "enjoy," Caldwell Seafood is your place for Christmas Eve plans. "We start taking orders the day after Thanksgiving," said Austin. "The finest calamari, scungilli, any seafood you desire. You can't get fresher fish. You get what you pay for here." I asked Tom Austin what makes Caldwell Seafood tops in the area for seafood.
"Because of quality. We've got the #1 best quality -- everyday. It's direct,
hand picked by me. And it gives us an advantage being in business as long as we
have." |
