Mint Tea - Courtesy of Marrakech in Montclair
Ingredients:
• 1 cup water
• 1 1/2 tsp Chinese green tea
(Gunpowder)
• 4-5 tsp Sugar (add/
decrease to personal
liking)
• Fresh Mint
Put a teaspoon of green tea in a teapot. Then boil water and once the water
comes to a boil add a small amount to the green tea in the teapot and let sit
for around a minute. Then pour the water out leaving a rinsed out green tea in
your teapot. Add the sugar and fresh mint (rinsed) to your teapot and the
boiling water to fill up your teapot. Once this is complete pour some tea in a
small glass and back into the teapot. Repeat this process three or four times
(this serves as a means to mix the tea). Taste the sweetness of your tea and add
more sugar if necessary.
